I ported my phone number from Zoomer to Koodo yesterday and since then I am not receiving some short codes from my bank, facebook, and a few other companies. I am able to receive private text messages and some short codes from different companies like Urban Planet and Costco Opticals. I have called Koodo, reset my network, restarted my phone and turned on/off airplane mode but nothing seems to be working. What is the problem? Does it normally take some time for short codes to work again? If so, how long will it take? It’s been 24 hours so far.
I wonder if the number transfer was complete. Did you receive a text from Koodo saying the transfer was complete? How was your Zoomer number? was it cancelled?
I was told the transfer was completed successfully by tech support. My zoomer number has never had this issue. I can see my number is now inactive on my zoomer account, as well.

I can still receive FAcebook and bank and other shortcode normally. There shouldn’t be any difference between carriers. I guess you might have used the Koodo temporary number for a while, and some app might think it was an security issue.
What I would try is to change the SMS text to another number (if you have) or remove the number from their system. After re-add the number again.

It is possible that your port transfer did not completely go through or your service needs to be provisioned. I would suggest you to contact the Koodo porting team at 1-844-232-7678. Is there an update on this? I’m having the exact same issue. Ported from Telus to Koodo and am not getting OTP/ 2FA texts for some reason...
