No tab. How can I port my number to another carrier?


I'm using my own phone without tab now. If I want to port to another carrier, do I have to contact Koodo customer service to cancel my service 30 days in advance?

No you don't want to cancel your service or you won't be able to port your number as it won't be yours any more. Just go to whatever carrier you want to go with and tell the sales person you want to port your number to their service. When they do the port then automatically your Koodo account will be closed and you will recieve your final bill in the mail.

So you mean no need to give a 30 day notice in advance, right? How about the final bill? Is that going to be a partial charge ending on the account closing day or a monthly bill till the billing cycle or even worse for one more monthly charge? Thanks!
