New phone and sim card

I recently purchased a new phone on the koodo site and shipping with it is a nano sim. I'm on a monthly plan and my current phone has a micro sim. When i receive my new phone and sim will my old phone's sim card be deactivated after i insert the new sim? Or will i have to make the change myself on self serve?

As far as I know you will have to make the change in self-serve.
Koodo would have no way of knowing when your phone arrives and would not want to cut your old phone off prematurely!
