my tab balce is zero now. if i want to move to another carrier is there anything that i have to do?

If you want to keep your number and port over you need to contact the carrier you want to move to. You will receive a final bill from Koodo and that's it. Also you could have left before your tab was paid off without penalty; you would have just had to pay whatever was left.
