Moving primus VOIP to Koodo wireless homephone (taking over 24hrs to port) {5$ plan but rate says $20}

The port time is taking longer then suggested on the advert page. I did find another page that suggested a landline to wireless port could take up to 2 days, maybe this may apply for a voip to cellular port too...

I applied when the cost for wireless homephone was advertised at 5$/month for a year, however when I look at account details it says there is a rate change already in effect for $20.
Is there going to be a discount applied for the first 12 months...?

Yes, porting from VoIP can take even longer than a landline sometimes. The promo of $5 for 12 months is still valid 🙂 What does your bill look like?

I haven't received a bill yet, but it shows as 20$ per month under "Your current Plan"  and "Transaction History" beneath the Mobile services section.

For the first bill, partial charges will be pro-rated based on the $20 rate. The $15 discount will begin to show up on the first full month of service for the next 12 months.
The number was fully ported when I checked it today. It took just under 2 days, but significantly longer than the 4 hours max that was suggested by Koodos wireless home phone activation email.

Good to know 🙂 Hopefully your invoice will be just as smooth in reflecting the $5!
