Koodo should offer customers the ability to use their mobile devices for making NFC-based payments. This could be done either by using mobile devices' native NFC components or via an NFC-enabled SIM card. Given the growing availability of NFC payment terminals, and the number of chain and independent businesses adopting the technology, it seems like a logical feature to which customers should have access. Given TELUS, Koodo's parent company, already offers this through an agreement with TD Canada Trust, which also happens to include Rogers and Bell, there is no reason why this can't be extended to include the Koodo brand. Beyond the obvious tiered service structure TELUS has created with Public Mobile, Koodo and itself being an excuse to offer NFC payments as a premium feature of their top tier brand. So, Koodo, put that customer focused model to work and let us ditch our wallets for mobile payments.
