Looking to transfer a cell number from Telus to Koodo - It's more complicated than it sounds...

Hello,

I have an existing Koodo phone, plan, & number. I want to give the phone to my wife who has a Telus phone and number. She's had the number for 15 years and wants to keep it.

So, the magic question is, can she transfer the number to Koodo and take over my Koodo plan/account?

Hi Stephen,

Yes she can!

In self serve, you can go in change phone number and then you have the option of getting a new number or transferring an existing number. You will be able to enter the phone number your wife has and then it will ask you all the account information for that phone number. It will verify to make sure everything is okay, and transfer the number to your account overriding your current phone number. After this, you can do a Transfer of Ownership by calling *611 from your Koodo phone. The transfer will cost 10$ and allow you to put the account in your wife's name. At this point she will be all set and the existing plan is hers.

Let me know if you have any other questions
