Koodo screwed up with my phone number!

I bought my phone and contract in Kelowna, BC but was given a 250 644 number which appears to be 100 Mile House. Consequently anyone in Kelowna who wants to contact me (which of course many many people have my number after having it for 6 months) have to call long distance. What can Koodo do to rectify this issue?

You can change your phone # any time you want just go into your self serve account online and there's an option to change your phone # Curious why it took you 6 months to do something about it?
Thanks Paul. It's kind of annoying to have to do that.

Where did you buy your phone Steve? At a Koodo store?

But as Paul said, why wait six months?? That just doesn't make sense... you can change your number at any given time for free, as far as I know as often as you like. If it's within your province you can just pick a number from the available pool... why make everybody call you LD for six whole months? Welcome to the community Steve and make sure you ask all your questions here, no need to suffer for so long 🙂
I bought the phone in the kiosk in the mall in Kelowna. I waited 6 months because I didn't realise it wasn't a Kelowna number. I didn't call myself and it wasn't until about a month ago that anyone told me they had to call long distance to get me. I didn't think much of it until the second person told me yesterday and I did a reverse lookup of the number to find it was 100 Mile House.
