International Phone Plan

I am currently living in Japan and I plan on staying here for a while. During this time, I am not using my Koodo plan at all but am currently paying about 28 CAD per month on the cheapest phone plan to maintain it. I heard other services allow for disabling the SIM card while still keeping my original phone number.

Does Koodo allow for something like this?

They have a plan call "Seasonal hold plan".

It will cost you $15/ mo and keep your account and phone number.   Once you came back to Canada, you need to pick a new in market plan. (You can't get your current $28 plan).

To get this plan, you need to contact Koodo. But, you are already out of country, send them message through FB or Twitter.
