Installed wifi hubb but phone will not ring

You did insert the Koodo SIM correct ?

1. Did you get a new number or a temporary one until your landline number is ported over?   With your phone plugged in, do you have get a dial tone?If so, try that number again.  No luck?  Go to step 2.

Remember it takes 2 - 4 business days to transfer your home number to the Koodo hub, so if you are dialing your existing home number it may not be yet activated.. 

2.  Did you put the battery in and allow it to charge as the instructions directed (5 hrs)?  The hub will not work unless a charged battery is installed.

3. Did you turn on the hub (switch at back)?  The power icon and the signal strength icons should be green).

4.   Did you plug in the phone to jack #1?  If you plugged in a cordless phone, did you plug in the base unit (necessary)?  Was the phone's ringer on and working with your old provider.

My hub worked immediately after I connected everything. No need to wait for the battery.

The recommendation is there because the hub will not work without battery backup which is used in case of power outage. While the battery is charging, the hub operates from the wall power.
