I woud like to keep my existing phone plan with a phone upgrade.

When you upgrade a phone, can you hold on to your current phone plan? I tried to get an Iphone5 at the koodo store today and they wouldn't let me keep my existing phone plan 😞 I was very disappointed and changed my mind.

I fear that under the new Tab model, the only way for you to keep your current (discontinued) plan would be to buy your iPhone outright. I'd like a rep to confirm this though. Maybe you could still benefit from the Tab Small, but I'm not sure this would allow you to keep your current plan.
You can pay off your tab and then you can get a new phone on tab again as far as i know. I also know thta you can buy the phone at full retail but it will be very costly for an iphone. Another way is to log in to self serve on the koodo site, then click on mobile phone and under your phone details click swap phone and from there choose what you want to do.

Hi Sahit, the only way to pay off the Tab is to cancel the account! Thank you 🙂

As long as you pay the upfront cost for the Iphone and not go onto one of the new tabs, you can keep your current rate plan.
Tried using my current tab (+125) and tried using the 'small' tab option (125+150=275) but either way, the koodo options at the Future Shop outlet wouldn't allow it without picking a new phone plan. It is unfair to have to give up my current phone plan. Will have to call Koodo tomorrow morning to confirm.

They should, at the very least, let you use the positive amount of your Tab that you've built, if nothing else!

Hi Nadia, you can actually keep your existing plan and use your Tab, whether you choose the small Tab or the Tab M (your plan must be minimum $30 for the Tab M). I suggest that you go back to Futureshop and ask the rep to contact us (channel care). We'll guide him through the upgrade process. The best is always to go to a Koodo store though: http://koo.do/102ZGyH. Thank you and enjoy your new phone! ________________________ If you see a good answer, give it a star.

I just did an upgrade for a lady to the Ace II X. She didn't want to pay for the phone upfront. She had + 32.50, so after the redemption, her new Tab S balance went to -117.50, walked out paying nothing (except I sold her a case) and kept the old plan, which was the $25 double minutes Talk + Text. I don't know what Future Shop was having trouble with.
