I want to switch to koodo and get a local number. How do I find out if that is possible?

I live in New Carlisle, QC, which I believe is Telus country.  Does Koodo have the rights to provide a local number since they are affiliated?

Well there's no designated areas by carrier. Rather it's if the carrier has coverage. You can just call Koodo or go to to Koodo store to initiate a port and keep your current number. If you want a different number there will be a locally available one provided. You'll have the option to pick from five numbers provided.
