Unfortunately, the warranty doesn't cover physical damage...

You're not going to like the answer. From Koodo's warranty page: http://help.koodomobile.com/getting-started-with-koodo/before-you-purchase/what-is-your-warranty-and-repair-policy Physical Damage If your mobile phone is damaged due to neglect or abuse, it won’t be covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty. Some examples or physical damage include: - Broken LCD screen

That's so painful to look at yikes. Does the display still work, can you scroll and open apps still? If so you just need the glass over the display replaced which is a lot cheaper than replacing the display as well. Try and find a repair facility near you or check eBay for glass replacements and fix it yourself if possible. Check YouTube for instructional videos on how to repair the Nexus 4. oh and when you get it repaired be sure to get a case to protect it from happening again. It's good to get a case the day you buy the phone as no device is warrantied against this and they will all break if dropped right, it's hardened glass which prevents scratches but breaks when impacted quite easily.

Not likely. OP stated he bought the Nexus4 on a tab. Generally, the credit card insurance only works if you charge the entire cost of the item to your card.

CC insurance has nothing to do with physical damage of an item.

quasarito is correct = the item has to be full price (no discount or tab) myke = accidentally damaged does work. I purchased a tv, 2 week later someone cracked the screen. Visa replaced it, just paper work and an insurance agent coming to see the damage. Remember it only available on Higher end credit cards.

My son did this to his Galaxy Ace II he has for a month. Accidently knocked a glass over onto it and it vracked it bad enough to screw up the digitixer on the right hand side of the crack. Koodo nicely enough gave him a $50 credit onto his tab, so he has to pay $78 and then got a new phone. Lesson learned for him, he know has a case. They didnt have to do it, but doing that makes me realize how awesome Koodo is over Rogers. What does Rogers say when that happnes, more or less, we dont care, give us your money
