Does Home Phone support multiple lines?

I’m thinking of switching my landline from Bell to Koodo’s. My question is: we have multiple phones in the household (family room, kitchen, bedroom, etc), will I be able to keep these, or it’s not possible on Koodoo Home Phone?

Hi Vic,

There are two phone plugs on the home phone unit. You can then plug two different headsets to the box. You may be able to go where the bell line plugs into your house, and try plugging in your Home Phone unit there and have all your phone lines in the house work.

You would need to do a disconnect where the Bell line comes into your house to do what Mathieu suggests. You could also use cordless phones, some of which have 5 or 6 handsets.

Exactly, we use our home phone with 5 handsets all over the house, works better than using splitters and all that. If you already have a phone system with handsets, you're all done - just plug in the wire from the landline into the wireless home phone unit 🙂

I have one hub in the kitchen.  I have two different handsets with bases plugged into the two ports on the hub.  These two handsets are spread amongst my family room and my living room.  That leaves no open ports for my handset for the upstairs bedrooms.  Do I have have to buy another hub for upstairs or can I somehow plug the hub into the existing home jacks to get them all to work as LAN line jacks?

I would invest in a cordless phone system with 3 or more handsets, Steve. They cost very little and you can use the handsets all over the house. In that case you won't have to put wires through the whole house and you can walk around with the handsets too.
