Didn't get my refer credit


I have referred my friend to Koodo mobile in last December and he activated his account, but I didn't get my refer credit yet. 😞

Hi Wendy - is this for your phone number ending in 26? If so, I don't see a profile for that phone number in the Refer-a-friend database, which leads me to believe perhaps the correct process wasn't followed.

In order to qualify you need to create a profile here on the refer-a-friend website. You would then send a referral invite to any friend you want to invite, the friend unlocks the invite and creates a profile for themselves, they go and activate a new line, and then come back to submit their new phone number in order to qualify.

Do you remember going through these steps?
No. I didn't do that online. I referred my friend to Koodo. A representative in your company helped me do that. He helped to transfer my friend's account from Fido to Koodo. During the activation, he had added my number. So I was thinking everything is set. But I didn't get any credit.

I see - so it sounds like the rep. helped set your friend up with a new account, but in order to qualify for a credit through the refer-a-friend program, you need to follow the steps I shared above. The good news is that you can refer as many people as you like and can earn up to $300 in credits a year. I'd suggest you create a profile now and share this with any other friends or family looking to activate in the future!

Oh, that's too bad. The representative told me that I can get a credit if I refer my friend. Otherwise I would not do that. And he didn't tell me anything about the refer-a-friend website you mentioned.  Now my friend has been using Koodo for 4 month, but we can't get the refer credit. We are so disappointed about that.

It's to prevent you from gaining a credit from people who have already joined Koodo as it is supposed to be a referral. It's a fairly easy process, just make sure you carefully read the steps.
