Default PIN for set up SIM card lock

I want to set up the SIM card lock, but I don't know what the default PIN is. Is it the same PIN which I have choosen when I bought the cell phone for revealing me at Koodo? 0000 is wrong, and my problem is I have only one attempt now before my cell phone is locked and a PUK is needed. Can anyone help me?

If you chose a custom four digit SIM/PIN number when you first bought the cell phone, then you would use that pin number. It could also be the last four digits of your phone number. PUK is short-form for Pin Unlocking Key. It allows you to reset the pin number on the sim card after you have entered the incorrect pin number more than the allowed number of tries. If you do end up locking your phone and require a PUK, call customer service and they'll be able to help you. Have your SIM card ready as you may need to read back the numbers that are printed on the SIM card. You can reach Customer Service at 1-866-995-6636 or 647-788-4337 Hours of Operation: Monday − Friday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sunday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
If the default codes are not working, use Master reset code . You can get it from http://www.unlock-free.com/ at free of cost .
The default PIN code for all Koodo&TELUS SIM cards is 1234. Just realised that this is a seven month old question. facepalm@noidea
