Clarification on Price Guarantee?

Koodo will not change your monthly rate plan charge or the services included in your rate plan without your consent, [b]as long as the plan is in market.

What does "as long as the plan is in market" mean exactly?

TELUS says:

We guarantee that during your commitment period, your monthly plan services and rate won't change unless YOU say so.

TELUS' guarantee is mostly because of the Wireless Code. How come Koodo's "guarantee" has that condition?

Hi there. Since I've been with Koodo (5+ years) there's hasn't been a change in my rate plan even if my plans wasn't in the market. So if I'd be you I wouldn't worry about that

It's not about what they have done in the past. It is about what they CAN do as per the agreement.

Still need a clarification from an employee.

If by "in market" they mean the plan needs to be currently available to new customers, this is not a guarantee of any kind. It basically means "we won't change your plan or price until we do." They can just increase prices on all new plans, which makes your plan "not in market." Then they can change your plan to the new one just because their bosses at TELUS want more $$$. TELUS' price guarantee actually guarantees that they won't do anything during your commitment period (contract end date, or 30 days for no contract).

Hello,

What that means is that Koodo won't change your rate plan unless you change it yourself or if you decided to get a phone and change the Tab you currently have. For example from Tab S to Tab Plus. Thus, you have to choose a plan that is "in market." Also, if you get seasonal hold, you will have to choose an "in market" plan when you re-activate your account.

But as long as you keep your service and don't change anything, your plan will stay the same. I've seen people who still have the original plans Koodo first launched.

Hey "People", Erwin's answer should answer your concerns.  Where did you get this information about Koodo?

Just to add, it also means that if you have a region specific plan (one that is only offered in certain provinces) and you move out of the area you will need to choose another plan that is not region specific.
