Canceling with Koodo.. I have questions

I have 15 days until my next bill is due (according to today's date) . I love Koodo, the price and everything. Unfortunately my work hours have been cut and plus I do drive to areas (where relatives live) where Koodo doesn't have coverage. I live in Manitoba and the coverage is limited. I'm cutting expenses due to job and could possibly be layed off from it. I understand Koodo doesn't need 30 days notice? So if I call tonight or tomorrow will I just owe the bill that is due in 15 days? I own my phone and I have a positive tab balance of $4.00. It's a smart phone and I'm on a month to month plan. I asked friends, family if one of them would take over my phone, they already have phones etc. Thanks for your help!

Call Customer service to cancel your plan. You will only be charged up until the end of your current billing cycle .( Cancelation date is set on the end of the billing cycle.) And the last day of your billing cycle is when your service will stop. If you have any overages, it will be on your final bill. Mind you that your positive tab balance of $4.00 won't be refunded.

Thanks for your help! I phoned last night to cancel. My billing period is Nov 24th to Dec.24th. I paid this bill early December. I can use my phone up to Dec.24th and then it will be cancelled. He said if I go over my allotted minutes or make international text messages between now and Dec.24th, then I will receive a bill for those charges. Otherwise I owe nothing and they will send a notice through the mail of the cancellation.
