Can someone take over my tab on my account without using my phone number??


I have an android, but really miss my iPhone. I haven't even had the phone for 1 month.. But I am over the 15 day return period. I'm just wondering can I have someone take over my tab on my account (or their own, whichever) if I were to hook up an iPhone? And if sooooo can I keep my number and have it hooked up with the iPhone!? Hopefully this makes sense lol

Hello Jamie. Why don't you want to switch phones only? Why do you want to transfer the tab? You could sell your Android phone and then buy an iPhone. The only thing left to do would be to switch SIM cards
Hmm well I don't know. I didn't think of actually selling the phone. I didn't think I could do that because it's brand new!? I was just thinking someone would take the phone and take over the tab with it, so I could hook up an iPhone. Just want to make sure I can keep my current number.

How brand new is it? If it's less than 15 days since you've made the purchase, you can return it and get an iPhone instead.

You can always sell a phone on Kijiji or Craigslist. Also if that person takes the tab, that means he'll take the plan that comes with it. Transferring the tab without the phone number might be difficult. I can't think it's possible to do that unfortunately

Tabs are linked to their lines and cannot be transferred independently of the line. You can do whatever you want with the phone you got. Now all Koodo cares about is the tab being paid off. However you want to do that including selling the phone you got to cover another you want is your business. You absolutely have no worries about losing your number or plan.
Well that makes all the sense in the world lol no idea why I couldn't figure that one out on my own!! Seriously... Thanks.... I forget there is no contract involved. I was with Rogers before this... Soooooo lol

Your number and plan are married to your SIM, not the phone. As long as you keep up your payments, you can swap/buy/sell phones as often as you change your socks and nobody cares. You can even change SIM if you need one of a different size for a nominal fee. Changing your plan is entirely at your discretion... once per billing cycle at no charge if something better suits, but your existing plan is protected indefinitely regardless of your handset changes.

The only limitiation with your account is that it's one tab at a time, unless you are applying for a second line + plan, which is not your case. You must pay off one tab before getting another, and you might have to choose a plan from a different category if you change tab category (Tab S, M or L plans).
