My phone’s got serious hot sauce and water damage and I’ll need to get a new one fast. There are some prepaid phones that are available right now . Can I just get one of them and use it on my monthly pan with Koodo if I stick my SIM card in there? BTW, are all smart phones unlocked?

Any unlocked phone should work, but if you want to be able to use wifi calling, you will have to purchase one of the eligibile models from Koodo or Telus.
That's not entirely true. If the phone is a Canadian model that Koodo/Telus happen to have on their Wi-Fi calling list, you can get it working with a few extra steps (I've also had success on a phone originally from Rogers).

Absolutely, and yes, all new phones are sold unlocked. Sorry you lost your phone!
