Can I block picture messages from appearing on my phone?

Been getting big cell bills, turns out my son has been looking at the photos his friends text him...$$$$$$!!!! Obviously I have told him no more, but is there a way I can block them from even coming? He only has the Samsung evergreen, can't get any data on it. Ideas???

Call koodo, dial *611 on your koodo phone and ask to put a data block on the phone line, they are closed right now so you will have to call tomorrow 🙂

Hi Stephanie, What plan do you have for your son? Yes as PZABOY suggested you can ask Koodo to block data altogether, but I was just wondering if you'd rather upgrade to one of the new plans that include unlimited texting (also includes picture text or MMS). Might be an alternative 🙂

Cheapest plan going..or so I thought! I do have unlimited texting, for sure. Will have to call Koodo and chat with them to sort it all out.

Just make sure the photos you are talking about are actual text messages and not on facebook or email, because the unlimited texting will do nothing for you in those two cases. It's easy to confuse all this techno bable 😉

Yes, the new plans all do, Andres. But the older plans (starting at $15 and that feature per second billing) do not 🙂
Thanks for the suggestions everyone...very helpful!

Are you sure it's picture messaging you are getting charged for? There is other things that could show up under that same line on your invoice. Ringtones etc. Check that first.
