can I add a second number to my existing koodo account


Was wondering if I could add a second number to my account for my boyfriend. We have a phone as it is his iPhone and was just wondering if I could add it to my account with him paying his own bill

Hi Katy,

If you add a second number to your existing Koodo account, everything would come onto the same bill, you would not be able to get 2 seperate bills.  
So does that mean we would share the same plan

You wont share the same plan as Koodo does not offer Share Plans. But calling between you two is unlimited. Please bring an up-to-date photo ID to a Koodo Shop and they can set you up 🙂
Just one more thing, is the iPhone unlocked or through Telus?

It was through virgin but we are gonna get a new Sim card for it as we gotta fix the screen

Koodo does not have any share plans, each phone has to have it's own plans

Ok and I can put it all under mine name but have his name on the account and his iPhone was through virgin but are we able to get a Sim card for koodo for it if I go to the kiosk

You will need to get the iPhone unlocked through Virgin first, then once that is completed you can go to Koodo and purchase the new SIM card for 5$ then his name can be on his line, and you can remain the main account holder.

Make sure you tell store rep that you want to add him under your account.

If he bought his iPhone from virgin, it's locked to virgin and can't use it through different carriers  network. So, you have to unlocked it to use it through different carriers.

If you already have a monthly account, you should be good unless you are on the Spending Limit Program.
Syop by Koodo store and tell them you want to add him under your account with a his own plan. They will help you out.

Also, if he want to port/transfer his number, don't cancel his virgin account.
Bring his virgin account info and tell store rep that he want to port his number. His virgin account will be canceled as soon as porting is done. 
(Well, I would call virgin to make sure his account is canceled tho)
