Automated Message Long Distance

Hello, I just switched to Koodo and every time I try to make a phone call an automated message says “We will connect your call and long distance charges may apply” even if it’s a local call. I have unlimted Canada Wide calling. It sounds like I’m making the call through the operator. It is quite annoying. I’ve checked my Koodo usage and I haven’t been charged for any of the calls. I would just like the message to stop.

You could put the number 1 before the Canadian number you would like to call, it should remove the warning.

ok i’ll try that but i don’t know why it’s doing it when the number is local

It is because it wasn't a local “same city" calls. Koodo system wasn't smart enough to filter out those calls based on your “canada wide plan”.
