Addition to topic types

Userlevel 2
Why not add more variety to the "topic types" For Example "censure" or "condemnation" or something else of the similar nature. It is only fair because you can expect the use due to changing needs.

I am pretty sure Koodo would like to avoid the options of negativity in the community. Questions and Ideas are the sections for such complaints, if any. No need for negatively titled sections.

Why live in denial? Why not add to the topic when it exists. It will ofcourse serve to identify those things easily by having the topic sort for everyone including Koodo.

What makes you think I live in denial? I just offered a counterpoint as to why topics with those headings wouldn't work out. It would not serve the community well at all.

I had added my viewpoint in response to your point becuase not acknowledging and not allowing righful place to what exists is what living in denial is.

I don't need education on what living in denial is. We are getting off topic here. The suggestion you posted about putting up categories that are for the sole purpose of negative comments is not what this community is about. Just because you think a situation is unfair does not legitimize the addition of basically a complaint section. The community is here to help, not condemn. I am prepared to debate this with you until my fingers are worn down to the bone but that will get us nowhere.

We have a praise section and we should have a section for something not praise and more. Every emotion and comment is part of the community. Every member should have right to say within bounds and not offensive. A dedicated topic type for what you don't like.

The irony of this thread is amazing. Koodo does not want it's community to bash other companies, it's as simple as that.

In the 4+ months since joining this forum I've seen enough people twist "idea" and "question" into "rant" and "flame" to know that additional topic types aren't really needed. I wouldn't want to invite [i]more of that. Besides, if they did have those sections they wouldn't really be used as those of us without an axe to grind would just ignore the posts there and eventually they'd just post in the questions section again.

The problem is that we should be able to voice our displeasure with certain new Koodo actions or initiatives though, without having to 'disguise' it as a question or idea. I get that it's nice to be positive and everything, but things aren't going to be rosy all the time. The current 3 topics are certainly limiting is some regards.... I doubt Koodo will change the options, and if they do it certainly won't be to "condemnation" like the OP suggests lol

There is a section "Problems" but it is hidden on the desktop by default, it shows up on the mobile version of the Koodo community site.

Which most of us will never see. I like it.

Actually, I've seen it there on the desktop version as well but I disappears almost immediately. My work computer is just slow enough that I catch a short glimpse of what once was.

Is it wrong that I feel that if you want to rant about something negative with Koodo (or any company for that matter) on the internet you should just get a blog? The community is here to help people solve problems, not give them a soapbox to whine on.

Lol good joke to start the day 😃
