Activation error when trying to activate new phone

i recently purchased iphone 11 from koodo online, i am a long time koodo customer. i had a 6s. i am having issues with activating my messenger and facetime with my phone number.

Are you using the same SIM from the 6s? Can you make/receive calls with the 11 as of now?

If you are using the same SIM, iMessage/Facetime activation could take 1,2 hours. Apple mentioned it could take up to 24 hours https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201422
