Hello everyone,

I brought ZTE Nubia Z9 mini from China last week and can't get 4G on Koodo in Scarborough (the phone supports FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7). Yet, when i go to system menu and force the phone use LTE only, i get 1 bar of 4G.. How strong is Koodo's 4G around Toronto?

I tried checking the specs and it seems optimized for carriers in China, not Canada. It says it supports 3G bands 850/1900 but none of the LTE bands (1700/2100). Try setting the phone to HSPA/WCDMA only and that should help it along. You won't get LTE signal here but regular HSPA should work fine, unless the phone is programmed only for Chinese carriers with CDMA.

 Koodo/Telus network supports:

3G HSPA+ : 850/1900 MHz.
LTE :  band 4(1700/2100 MHz).

Your phone does not support band 4 so  you will not get LTE
If its showing 4G,  That's not LTE .   4G in north america is what's referred to as Fake 4G which is on HSPA+ network which is about 3 times faster than 3G but about 1/4 the speed of LTE.

and set to HSPA/WCDMA only as Jonathan mentioned

Doesn't Koodo support 2600MHZ (band 7)?

just checked HSPA+ speeds in my room. Download - 26.60 Mbps / Upload - 3.50 Mbps, twice as fast as my wifi =\
What are the speeds on LTE then?
