You're still waiting to be approved

I just received my phone and I created an account on /selfserve. I received an email to say the registration worked but when I try to login I get this error: "You're still waiting to be approved".

I called and the rep gave me my account id but she told me she couldn't do anything else and told me to call webstore. I tried calling there but even though they are supposed to be opened until 9PM EST (it's 6PM EST) the line is closed.

Is there anyway of getting my phone activated and allowing me to connect to my account?

hi Maxime,

If you haven't received the activation email then I would suggest you wait for it. As you already tried to create account yourself, you might have to contact Koodo again to get it reset.

I would suggest you send a message to their facebook and ask them to look into your account (so you don't have to wait on phone).

How long is the wait for the activation email? Also the instruction card Koodo sends with the phone says the first step is to create an account at /selfserve. It's kinda frustrating to do as the document says and get the account locked.

Normally your phone and SIM should be activated before it reached you. They had a blacklog right now and that could be the reason why.

I would send a message to Koodo and ask them to look into it. They will come back to you later, and you don't have to wait on phone.

Im surprised the rep on the phone was to help you.

You have 2 separate issues here
1) Your sim is still not activated (it could be delayed if you received your phone earlier than when the webstore team expected.
2) Your self serve registration is messed up in Koodo's system.

For #2 you will need to contact Koodo no matter what.  Private message via Social media is your best recourse.
For #1, you can wait to see if your sim activates in the next few days, or you can bring it up to Koodo at the same time as when you contact them for #2.
Just make sure you note to Koodo these are 2 separate issues so they do not confuse them as a single issue
