Not sure what you're talking about. Koodo doesn't have Activation fees. And no matter what carrier you're with they'll send you a bill.

Is this your first bill?

Network speeds may vary but it's the same network as Telus so speed where I am is okay.

What device do you have?

There was a short outage a couple early mornings ago.

Anyway more details please.

They're completely fine for me. Also, if your service didn't work for 3 days and they reimbursed you for 3 days, that's pretty fair. Or do you expect free stuff because of a slight inconvenience?

I find data speeds actually quite amazing. Often better than my home Internet. No complaints at all.

Not for me, I never use my data because its that bad...my home internet runs waayyyyy faster ,,,problem is like every company, it rarely works! What are you supposed to do wait around all day for the "varying network" quality..I can't call in all the time or I'd never get off the phone....enough is enough....I give koodo prices and instore employees two thumbs up but quality and over the phone customer service two thumbs down.

Well like I already said, you go past one bill by a few days and they hammar ya with fees and charge you for what you can't use ( like when a FAM member passes away in another province and you have to go out asap and they turn ur phone off for the sake of 56$) nothing to do with free stuff ahmad, everything to do with fairness, network quality, and customer service...
...on the other side of the table, do I get an inconvenience fee like they do? No just a reimbursement for 5 $ ...see what I mean...why is it koodo gets 5 times more when there inconvenienced????hmmm

The FCC is an American organization that regulates communications in the USA and has no jurisdiction IN Canada.

Ignorant and unwilling eh? Hahaha.... you have a great day as well ;)

PS Koodo offers service anywhere in BC but we live in a rural area... as soon as we get outside of town there is no coverage for miles. Yet if somebody was to pick a plan with Koodo, I know they wouldn't be refused because they live in a white spot area. But as I said, enough already, this is a pointless discussion anyway.

Direct from the Koodo Service agreement:
The service may fail or be interrupted for many reasons, including network maintenance, physical limitations inherent in the radio waves to deliver the service, and technical limitations arising from the connection with other telecommunications companies. Koodo does not guarantee service availability.

And as Chad mentioned, the FCC is in the US, here everything goes through the CRTC.

No, im saying that the network isn't always guaranteed to be working perfect. As I said before, I would guess that your probably not having these coverage problems in the middle of Vancouver. Id be curious where your located that your having these problems. If it was a consistent problem with the network, I can almost guarantee this forum would be full of people complaining about it.

Im guessing its more along the lines of what Chad said. I don't think ive ever heard of Koodo cutting someone off if they are a few days late on one bill. The only time ive heard of it is if there is a spending cap and they are hitting the cap.

About the data speeds and network. It could all depend on where your located. The network isn't perfect, and I doubt anyone anywhere would say that theirs is. There are dead spots and areas that are more challenging to cover due to geography. Maybe your in one of those areas. Or its also possible that it could be your phone or some settings on your phone. Maybe try doing a hard reset and wiping your phone.

As for the customer service side of things, usually when I hear someone say this its because they are calling in to tear a strip out of the person that picks up on Koodo's side. Remember they are people too, and if it were me and someone called in to scream at me I wouldn't feel like I should be bending over backwards to reward that behaviour.

You make a good point Mark. Since the Executive hires employees to act as a buffer, between themselves and the public, perhaps its time to field complaints directly to the share holders.

Somebody doesn't know how cellphone service providers all work and the limitations that the world's present technology allows for do they.

Can you answer what phone you are using that you are having these issues with it may help you out by letting us know?

My comment was not about the technical component, but to answer your question, my answer is no. I am of the opinion that the Executive hires Customer Service Reps (CSR). If a CSR, such as Mark described, for whatever reason, feels they cannot handle a customer complaint, refer the complaint to a Share Holder.
