1-800 numbers are "toll free" meaning no long distance charges.  They still use regular day time minutes if you do not have unlimited minutes

Minutes used are minutes used. Any time a call is made on the Koodo network, toll free or not, minutes are deducted from your plan.

Charges resulting from the number called are independent from minutes used. Toll Free numbers do not mean "minute free" calls.
