Wondering if the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is compatible with Koodo's network bands

So I currently have a Samsung Galaxy Core LTE (SM-G386W), and was thinking of upgrading to a Redmi Note 4X.

After a bit of research, namely https://willmyphonework.net (Both phones show full 3G and 4G compatibility), and http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone2=8580&idPhone1=6846 , I feel that it should work just fine.

That said It's always best to get a second opinion, so that is what I'm doing.

Hi Arctiel, the international model Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is missing LTE Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz), though the phone may be able to take advantage of LTE-A (2600 MHz). Other than that, the phone should work without issue on Koodo's network.

Band 4 is for LTE. Band 7 is for LTE-a.
You will get LTE-a but not LTE. Depending on your location this may be okay for you but it also could mean you will only get 3G

I live in downtown Toronto. Does that matter?

Yoi will have no issues then. LTE-A covers most of southern Ontario.

Seems to depend with the 4. Sometimes global edition ml just means global Rom. Double check with the exact t submodel
