Need a windows OS phone ... tired of waiting.  Until now, I have to go to other providers to buy windows phones, unlock them, then add the koodo SIM.  Or simply purchase an unlocked windows phone from any variety of retailers outside of Canada (for some reason there are few places in Canada to purchase unlocked phones ... whereas other countries, unlocked phones are the norm now).

I will have to switch to another provider as the $$ building up in my TAB is basically useless to me.  Is there an auction out there where I can sell my TAB to other Koodo subscribers?

If the positive Tab is useless to you, you could switch to a 10% discount on your plan.

I like Windows Phones too but I can't understand this obsession you and Ivan have.

We'll hear about any updates on this soon, as several people have suggested WP adds in the past few months.

Well, I wouldn't call my preference for Windows Phone an obsession. If that were true, I'd have nothing but Windows Phones.

I liked WP from 7 and on. It's always been a little different - that was my initial draw to it. Though I always ended up going back to iOS/Android because of missing features. But since 8.1, I really ended up just using my Lumia Icon. The M8 and the 5S only get used if I'm on the go and run out of battery on my Icon.

I've "converted" a lot of people to Windows Phone. I say that with quotation marks because it wasn't my intent to do so. These people switched because they played around with my phones and liked it.

For my own personal use, it really doesn't matter if I'm using WP, iOS, or Android. And one OneNote is available for BB, I can comfortably use that as well.

Problem is that barely anyone wants a windows phone yet. Koodo did carry one, but I suppose low sales suggested that they wouldn't introduce another one. Have your tab frozen and switch to getting 10% off your monthly plans.

The tab is tied to the account (specifically the phone number on the account). If you transfer the account (and tab) to someone va Transfer of Ownership, you will also transfer away you phone number.

You could always use to the tab on the Moto G and unlock and sell it

This is what I've done in the past to subsidize my purchase elsewhere - get a $150 phone from Koodo (one that people actually want to buy), have it unlocked for ~$10, and sell it for ~$140. $130 then goes against the price of the phone that I want.

Out of curiosity, what about Windows Phone devices appeals to you so much over the other OS'?

Ease of use ... zero learning curve ... automatically syncs with the worlds most common OS (Windows) ... it's just like (and sync's perfectly with) the pc/laptop/tablet/Xbox/& Media room (FibreOP) Operating systems ... reliable apps that have been vetted "BEFORE" being made available in the app store ... etc.,

Stephen, please dont comment and bump 2 year old threads. This is against community rules. You already started a topic on Windows phones, leave the discussion in there. No need for two or more threads
