My daughter currently broke her Samsung Galaxy Ace II. I am looking to buy her an iPhone 4 16GB from someone. They say the phone is Telus SIM locked but think it will work with a Koodo SIM. Does anyone know if a Koodo SIM card from her Samsung Galaxy Ace II will work with a iPhone 4 16 GB that is Telus SIM locked?

Yes a Koodo SIM will work in the Telus iPhone 4, but the Ace 2 uses a mini-SIM whereas the iPhone 4 uses a micro-SIM so you'll either need to purchase a new micro-SIM ($10) or cut your existing mini-SIM down (http://www.thechinacellphone.com/micr...).

If the iphone does not work with a Koodo sim you may have to update the carrier settings (this is what I had to do with my Telus iPhone)

Hi? How can I update my iphone's carrier settings? It is locked to telus but it says "Restricted Network" when I chose Koodo on the Carriers.

Connect you iPhone to iTunes (latest version and must be connected to the internet). If there is a carrier settings update, you should be prompted to install it.

Nothing wrong in trying out.. If the phone locked to telus ,get it remote unlocked from any vendors online like http://www.mobile-unlocker.com .Once unlocked you can use any carrier to it without any hassle
