Will the Koodo Home Phone support an old rotary dial phone?

I've switched to the Koodo Home Phone and love it.  It works great with my existing cordless phones.

I was telling my neighbour about the Koodo Home Phone.  They're interested in doing the switch from their Bell land line but they have two old rotary dial phones.  They are 1960/70's era phones, so there's no rotary/tone switch.  They're just rotary.   Will those phones work with the Koodo Home Phone service?  My neighbours are nostalgic about keeping them.  Thanks.

No, rotary phones are the only ones that will not work on the home phone service.

Another thought.  Will the rotary phones work (ring) for incoming calls, but just can't dial out on them?

Why not borrow one and test it out?

Not sure. The Koodo website just says that rotary phones will not work with this service but like David said feel free to try it out!

In theory, it should. Agreed with David for putting it to the test. But why the rotary phone? For the novelty? Otherwise, there are budget touch tone phones for $10 at many department/electronics stores.

He said his neighbours were nostalgic about keeping them but agreed that touch tone phones are a cheap investment if its what it takes to get a cheaper home phone service!

I'll definitely bring one of their phones home to try on my home phone to see if incoming calls work.  Thanks all. :-)
