Hi, I see the option for wifi calling on my S8 pull down menu but I cannot seem to enable it. is this option available with koodo?FYI my phone is a BYOD unlocked S8 and I am using a micro sim from my old iphone 5S.I am on a monthly plan and not prepaid.

WiFi calling is not yet available on the s8 with Koodo. They plan to keep adding new phones for this soon. They've been saying this for awhile now though. So far it's just iPhone 6 or newer and the LG v30.

@Cat: Also, if your Anroid phone was from another carrier (not koodo/telus), you might not get wifi calling even if Koodo supports the S8.

Thanks. My S8 is from Koodo but it was shipped unlocked. Does anyone know where they plan to have wifi calling for the S8? Will it automatically turn on when it's available or do I have to check back to see when it will be available?I liveĀ  in a really bad dead zone.

They will announce when it is available. Telus does have it on their network for S8 though.

I been waiting for a few months now for Koodo to add more LG phones or Samsung phones before i update my cellphone to get wifi calling because i live in a area where the cellphone single is shit but Koodo is just dragging there feet

@Lloyd: Well, LG wifi-calling future wasn't lucky with Telus. I doubt you would get anything soon....

Lloyd, you can perhaps get a used iPhone 6 or plus and use it until Koodo adds those features to more androids.
