Yesterday my wife & I bought 2 new Samsung Galaxy S5 Neos @ Koodo Kiosk. Both can connect to various Wi fi Hot Spots & @ Relatives Homes etc; however her phone cannot connect to our home Network. Tried all the various online tips (battery, sim removal, keyboard codes to access internal network management features etc.) & in desperation restarted & reset Modem. Still no luck. She gets a window that says cancel (or) connect, but nothing happens when connect selected. Window just disappears. Can get Window back by reselecting Network but again, just same old same old. Any one have any further suggestions?
Thanks Dave,

Perform a factory reset on her device and try connecting again

Thanks Chad for your quick response. Worked O.K. On reboot Wi Fi was accessible and most data was restored (music photos etc,) but, unfortunately Contacts Info lost in the ether.

For the future, sync your contacts to services like Gmail or Outlook and you'll be able to easily restore them from any device.

And if that won't work then I suggest going back to where you bought them to get it swapped

If your wireless router has WPS, (push button w/WPS logo located on the wireless router), try connecting your wife's phone using this method. The settings for WPS Push Button or WPS PIN Entry are found in Settings > Wi-Fi - tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner and select Advanced.

Another method is to enter the S5's Wi-Fi MAC address into your wireless routers' list of allowed devices, (MAC Address filtering). The S5's Wi-Fi MAC address is found by going to Settings > About Phone/Device and selecting Status. Write down the address. Depending on which wireless router you have, the Wi-Fi MAC address filter option/location varies by manufacturer, but is usually found under Network Filter or Advanced Wireless.

Enter the default IP address of your router into any browser on your computer. The address is generally found printed on a label beneath your router. Login and locate the page where MAC Filtering or Advanced Wireless resides. Enter the MAC address from your phone and click the save button before leaving the page.

If the problem persists, you have 15 days from date of purchase to return or exchange the phone.
