Unfortunately no. I had an S3 not too long ago and didn't really have any problems. What happens when you reboot the phone? Do the issues persist immediately after, or does it take some time for the issue to happen again?

yes very very shortly after the widgets freeze again even with doing nothing on my phoen at all. just turning it on to check the clock and seeing that behold yes it is wrong again.

Ive never downloaded anything that wasnt on google play. they are all apps i had on my old phone with no issue except for checkout 51, snap saves, save.ca and pc plus they are all things i would trust too. my first phone it happened right away, this one lasted 4 days without an issue but there is NO trigger i can figure out. the only thing i did on the 4th day i hadnt done before was clear the "recent apps" list and i made sure settings wasnt in there.. just apps in case it did a force stop (dont know why this list and clearing option are a button on my phone if it could cause an issue) but i turned phone off and on and never have cleared that list again and it continues to happen within 30-60 mins after restarting phone. its NEVER the right time. i dont do much with my phone, just check facebook pinterest email really. no music and not much videos being watched. my phone shouldnt be having issues at all.

all koodo or samsung can suggest is factory reset. which i see online hasnt helped anyone else, and is really a huge waste of time trying to get phone back how you want it all over again.. and 2 phones having this issue within 2 weeks time doesnt give me any hope. i wanted this phone but now have to go choose another different kind... that i dont even want but at least maybe the clock will work right. i hope SOMEONE gets this figured out asap! Koodoo lady told me to just wait for bug fixes to come out, but if nothing has fixed this since 2012 i think id be due for a new phone by the time the issue got fixed :P not worth it... Samsung: even if this is a very minority issue it NEEDS to be addressed.

This is why I never recommend entry-level Samsung devices.

However, I've had widgets fail to update even on flagship phones. Poor coding, I guess.
