Why wont my Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 turn off or charge?

Hey, last christmas my Dad bought me a phone (samsung galaxy ace 2) so he could talk to me while I was at my Moms. Great plans by the way, the Christmas special is awsome! For The first month of the summer break, I came back to my dads. I never had troubles with the phone before, and last night I plugged in my phone and everything seemed fine. But this morning, I came to my phone to find it turned on by itself and it had 2% battery, less than it started with. I figured that I just didnt plug it in right and didnt turn it off anyway. I plugged the charger in multiple spots and even tried other samsung chargers, and still no connection. On top of that, every time I try to shut the phone off, it automatically turns back on right away. So I thought maybe I could reset it by removing the battery, but I left the charger plugged it. The phone stayed on. I thought it was weird, then I took the charger out and took out the battery again and itb turned off. So why won`t my phone turn off or charge? It clearly is getting power if it ran without battery.

If you got it last Christmas it should still be on Warranty. Take it in to get it repaired
