I have had my phone for a few months and it's been working fine up until a few weeks ago when all of a sudden, it stopped allowing me to download ANY apps.?? I know a lot of people with the same phone and they have no issues. My brother's phone, using the same Wifi, has no problems either? All of my settings also seem to be the same as my brother's.

I just get a blue line with no progress, no error messages...just nothing.

Any help out there for me?

Thank you.

Make sure apps aren't updating in the background. Stop them manually if they are. That will interfere with downloading new ones.

Then try forgetting your Wi-Fi network and reconnecting to it.

Have you tried turning off your phone and removing your SIM card for about a minute? That will refresh the device and maybe sort out your issue.

There should be a little indent in the bottom back corner of your device. Use this to help take off the back cover of the device. From here you will be able to remove your sim card.

Jonathan, you are a genius. Turned off all the auto updates and now it works. Once again....GENIUS. (and fast too).

Thank you!

You're welcome! I had that happen to me before, so I knew what the issue was.

Go to the Play Store and hit the menu key on the upper left corner. Select My Apps. Look at the list of apps that say they need updating and look if any of them are in progress. You can stop them manually if you want by hitting the X.
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH !!!! UGGGHHH...MY PHONE IS ABOUT TO DRIVE ME OFF THE EDGE !!!!

Thank you!!! Your advice worked perfectly! As opposed to flinging it out of a moving vehicle while yelling 'Download this! " which was my next move! HahaA
Had the exact same issue with my Moto and I would NEVER have thought the Play Store was where I'd need to go to stop updating apps - thanks you are indeed the Mobile Master!
