I have switched from a basic LG phone to a Samsung Galaxy Ace II smartphone. When I dial out now from my smart phone the number appears with a 1 in front. Didn't use to. Any reason?

All #s from a cellphone need a 1 in front so it just automatically puts it if you didn't.

Most phone numbers nowadays required 1+ the 10 digit number in order for the call to be connected properly. The days of using 7 digit dialing are slowing going away.
