I plug it in but nothing happens. I've tried moving the cord around, using another plug-in, and using another charger but nothing happens. How do I fix this?

What phone is it? I know with my Moto G sometimes I have to hold the power button for 20 seconds (time it!) before it will charge again...

It's a Samsung Galaxy A5, I got it just over a month ago now. I turned it off for a few minutes and then plugged it in, and it's working now.

see if the. cord and charger work with another device. if they do, the charging port on your device may beĀ  damaged

It's also possible that the contact points for the battery are corroded, although less likely with newer phones. I have seen it happen even on newer gen iphones. Is the battery removable ? Could be worth it to look if you haven't fairly recently if you can.

For a fully depleted/drained battery, it can take anywhere from one to three minutes or more for the battery to store enough of a charge before you can see the charging icon appear on screen. Best practice is to leave the phone off and allow the battery to charge fully overnight. The battery charging indicator should still appear on screen, or it can be viewed by tapping the power button once. After charging is complete, press and hold the Power button for 7 to 10 seconds to power the phone on.

What have they tried? Did you check if the charger charges other devices or if another charger your know works will charge your phone? What exactly is the problem? I assume that it too won't charge or won't keep a charge for longer your phone is still in warranty, and it's a battery issue, then you can use the warranty to get the battery replaced. Does the charging port look undamaged and clean enough? Which phone do you have?

Whats the problem you are having? If it's just that Walmart doesnt carry your phonr's battery then I would try online or in other stores.
If your phone is under warranty you can also visit your Koodo store to have it shipped away for repair.

I love that she answered the first response saying that she solved the problem but is still getting responses at least 9 months later.

Are you trolling? Judy Trenholm and Diana Rose Sutch asked a fresh question 6 and 3 months ago respectively. Though we all prefer that users post a fresh question, starting a new thread in the process, some don't. Leaving the new question unanswered seems very rude, so an answer is offered.
