Postpaid sim cards can be reactivated for any phone as long as it's been less than 90 days since deactivation and it's being reactivated on the same account and phone number.

Prepaid sim cards are one time use.

Just take your sim out of the Motorola and put it in the Samsung (assuming they are the same size)

If they are different sizes you'll need to visit a kiosk or retailer and buy the correct size sim.

Are you trying to activate it with his phone number or yours? Are you on prepaid or postpaid?

11/2 month or 11/2 year?
You will need a new sim card because it's different size. And you can't use someone else's sim card because it's containing their account and phone number as Chad mentioned.

Also note, It doesn't matter what phone you use or if its an old Koodo phone. It's all about the sim card. We could care less what phone you use.

If its his old sim card and you want to use it, you can't. You need to purchase a new one.
