Why wifi calling is not available on iPhone 5s?

Hi,

I just heard wifi calling is available in Koodo network. I just updated my iPhone 5s with the new IOS 11.3.1 patch and also went into General -> About menu and received network configuration update posted by Koodo. But I still don't have the option to activate wifi calling on my phone. As far as I checked, this feature is available on iPhone 5s but carrier could disable it. Is there any reason Koodo is not enabling this option for iPhone 5s smart phones?

Thanks in advance.

It's only for iPhone 6 and newer at this time, no word yet if older iPhones will be supported but if they are it will be at a later date

Maybe the LG G6 but I wouldnt hold my breath that they will do anything special to enable the LG G4 for wifi calling. That phone is ancient as far as cell phones go. Time to update Lloyd and get that LG G6.

Doing something in store will cost you a $30 connection fee.

Right now the LG g6 is $0 down on medium tab online. That means this phone will cost you $360 on an interest free loan for 2 years.

I realize that you're just waiting for wifi/volte calling. Just wait till the next update of phones comes out. It almost seems like Koodo is playing games on how they are implementing this. If it works on Telus then Koodo can do it. There always could be issues that we have no idea about. Since they won't say anything then we can only assume.
