Were you charged for overages or for roaming? They're two different things. Overage charges are for exceeding your minutes or data. Roaming charges are for usage outside of Canada.

Hi Julie - here's what I'm seeing on the line ending in 61:
- You have a $20 monthly add-on that gives you unlimited international long distance calling from Canada to the U.K.
- You added a $40 international roaming combo, which gives you 50 mins, 50mb of data, 50 outgoing texts, and free incoming texts.

The reason for your overage charge is two-fold:
1. There was a long distance call made to the U.S. from your home area on Aug. 3rd
2. While travelling, you used up the 50 included minutes with your intl. roaming package as of Aug. 25 and begin incurring overage charges for your minutes.

You can log in to self-serve and view your bill to see a summary of what I mentioned above, followed by a detailed break-down as of page 3 of your most recent bill.

Hope that helps.

That doesn't make any sense.
I will have to look into this further as there is no way i spent 50 min on the phone prior to Aug 25.

Have a look on your bill. Do keep in mind that due to the per minute billing, every call will round up to the nearest minute. If you made/received many short calls during this period, this can add up.

If you look at your invoice (on pages 10 & 11), it gives you a detailed breakdown of all calls made while roaming along with the length of each call, the time it was placed/received, and exactly when you began incurring the charges. Keep in mind, charges are based on per-minute billing (i.e. if you made a call that was approximately 3 minutes and 48 seconds in length, you’ll actually be charged for a 4 minute call.)
