Hello Jamie,

What kind of help would you have wanted from Koodo? What would a perfect experience be like?

Also, did you know you could contact Koodo for free by dealing their toll free number via Skype?

"talk to a rep to find out where i can get my phone replaced ..."
 - If you are overseas, I don't think Koodo rep can give you a great suggestion to get replaced/temporary phone there.   All they can do might be googling to check local stores that can be done by you.
Good thing you report/ suspend service, so, no one could build up a huge service fee.

Also, you can go to their web to check what available to purchase a new phone after you got home.

Suspend your service on self serve and get a local sim and phone where you are at will be your easiest course of action.

What step are you at now?  We can help walk you through what you need to do
