Why is there no alternate method of payment available on my account?

My credit card was compromised and cancelled and before I received the new one, my bill came due. A friend offered to temporarily cover it but I was unable to pay it as the name and cc number was different from what was registered to my account.

You can use online banking to pay for your bill this month. Al you need is your Koodo account number and you're good to go.

Thanks Goran! This is the wiser and easier way to go (but a son needs to be backed into a corner before he - hopefully - realises that the old man is offering good advice!)

If your financial institution supplies your interac card with VISA Debit, koodo also accepts it for payment as well

It's a regulatory requirement for credit card information to match account address information for cell phone service.

Where is this regulation listed?

Doesn't make sense. This would rule-out pre-paid credit cards, which are supposed to work.

There is only ONE name and ONE (associated) credit card recognised by Koodo on a particular account. That in itself will NOT allow the account holder to pay his bill with an alternate card, nor will it allow someone else to pay the bill with their card (not recognised), nor are there any options available for an alternate payment method (should, for example, that credit card be compromised, stolen, or otherwise unavailable to use.) The way to circumvent this is to register the Koodo account with your bank and pay your bill through them, the wiser way to go.

With prepaid credit cards, the only thing that needs to match is the Postal Code. When you "Activate" the Prepaid credit, you enter the postal code
