Why is my phone speaking to me ? And why can't I get into my apps very easily?

Can't get iPhone G3 to open. Slide bar doesn't move when slide finger across screen. Bopping sounds.

Can you get to the dialer screen to dial 911 (DONT ACTUALLY DIAL AND CALL 911 please)

Please provide a more descriptive note about what is happening, and anything you can remember that might have happened to the phone that might have changed it's Behaviour.

Also, an iPhone 3G is nearly 10 years old now, and there could be any number issues with it.

Have a look at this article about restarting your phone to see if that helps.

Try to press and hold the power and home button until you see the apple logo.  Then let go

Thanks for trying to help me. My husband worked on it and found out that the front page can be slid up and a button must have been pushed on the black and white screen. (My granddaughter had been playing on my phone.) Sorry
