why is my activation rejecting my e-mail address

I am trying to activate and Iphone5s with a new Koodo sim card and it is rejecting my e-mail address.  Can you tell me why? and what to  do about it?

Hi Sandra,

Are you a prepaid or postpaid customer?what was the actual message when they rejected the email address ?

prepaid - and they said e-mail not available, but I did use my e-mail for my son's account, Aiden, so I just used his e-mail account for my Koodo Acct. and I think it will work.  I am still not activated though, so how long will that take???

It shouldnt take very long. Besides the email issue, did everything else go ok when trying to activate? If it did then try restarting your phone.

@sandra: did your prepaid sim work? If it didn't, you might want to try to register the SIM again. Btw, if your son email was registered with koodo prepaid, you need another email for your account.

That was the problem - the e-mail, so I just used his for my sign up, because I had used mine previously for his Koodo acct.  All is well now.  Thanks for your help.
