Why is it that someone was able to open another line and get a phone on my account, and koodo won't close it? I've been a customer for 7 yrs

Why is it that someone was able to open another line and get a new phone on my account without my permission a province away from me, and I get treated rudely, and they refuse to close the account? Then tell me they will see me in court?

Please let that rocket + sparklers land and then get back to us.

We are a community of customers and have no access to anyone's account info.

I would venture to guess that if it's your account, you could cut off the credit card... et voilĂ .. but maybe not so simple.

Do you know the person who opened another line? Sounds like you do since you mentioned they live a province away. Did they have access to your account then? Is that what happened?

No I do not know them, and I know they are a province away because it is a bc area code.

And no matter what, nobody should be able to walk into a koodo store and be able to open a new line and get a new phone on my account without me present. And there is no possible way someone had my ID.

I've been a loyal koodo customer with two separate phone lines for 7 years now.....always been happy with them......until I spoke to one of their ignorant reps about my account being fraud ed.
And also I work up north and I'm unable to file a police report unless I go into the police station because they need to post it on cpic because it is out of province.
So I wrote ctv and global for now, and I am posting my problem on every possible site I can find to see if anyone eLSE had this happen to them. I will have to wait until I'm out of camp to file an official police report
