Why I'm I been charge Airtime when am not over my mins?

Have you reviewed your PDF invoice, downloaded from Self-Serve? It will have all the details.

Often these charges are for long distance calls to USA or call forwarding of numbers.

Yes I have. But as per my bill I still have 6 mins remaining in airtime.

I asked two things so ill answer for both.

If you just changed plans then it will be sort of the same situation as listed above. If you switched halfway through a billing cycle everything gets prorated so you won't actually have 100min but rather have however many days left of that plans worth of minutes. (15 out of 30 days left will give you 50min)
