I usually go to Best Buy when it is time for a new phone but I hate how they ask your name/DOB/address/SIN where everyone can hear you. I decided to avoid that and do it myself on-line. First the iPhone SE was a different color in the cart but it seems to be working tonight. Then to get a new phone the only option was change my plan but when I change my plan it stated I have to agree not to receive my 10% discount any longer or a positive tab. I'm choosing the same plan I currently have but I still have to agree to theses changes.

Yes, in order to qualify for new devices in the new tab system you have to agree to no longer participate in the old tab system. This is because there is discount pricing built into the cost of the phone based on tab use.

If you buy the phone without using a tab, you won't have to change your plan.
